To celebrate Independence Day in the United States, we’re offering a CAT Free weekend!

CAT Free you ask?

It has nothing to do with actual cats and Connor’s Stan / Tinker are purr-fectly safe.
Starting Friday July 4th @ 0:00z through Sunday July 6th @ 23:59z, all crew will be able to fly any aircraft in our fleet.
Please note our standard substitution list still applies so don’t even try to fly a 737 on an A320 route 🙂

Break out the widebodies and enjoy!
This is one of the ways that we show appreciation to our amazing pilots who dedicate themselves to AAVA and make us great!

Executive Staff Changes (29 Jun 2025, 3:09 pm)

Greetings and salutations AAVA crews!

It is once again my privilege to announce a promotion, but this one is extra special.
Andrew Swift joined AAVA about two years ago and rose quickly through the ranks from JFK Assistant Hub Manager, then on to Hub Manager. Under his leadership and collaboration with the amazing Randy Kaster, NYC/LGA became more active, engaged and emerged greater than I’ve seen in my tenure.

Because of his dedication, attention to detail and mediation skills, we began discussing his promotion to the Senior Executive Staff. Without hesitation and immediate consensus, he was offered a role which he quickly accepted.

Please join me in welcoming Andrew to his new position as Human Resources Director!

Paul Ledford, who is stepping down from that role, alongside our Training Director Pablo Vazquez, have graciously volunteered to help with training and there’s a lot to learn so go easy on him for the time being!
You might think his former position is now vacant but alas, no! As a tremendously successful team, he and Randy worked closely to develop our NYC hubs, so Captain Kaster will assume the Hub Manager role.

Please join me in congratulating Randy for his new position as NYC Hub Manager!

Some virtual airlines have no hope of advancement for pilots, but that’s not the case with AAVA. We stand stronger because of the dedication and enthusiasm of our staff and crews. YOU are what makes us great!
